Mercury Network Security Protocol to be Updated December 8, 2020

What is changing, and when?

On December 8, 2020, we'll upgrade the security protocol used by Mercury Network to TLS 1.2. This protocol is an industry-standard which is supported by all major internet browsers, so most Mercury Network users won't experience any interruptions. However, if you're using an out-of-date browser or one that doesn't support the latest standards, when you attempt to log in to Mercury Network, you'll see a page alerting you to the new requirement, and you'll need to update your browser before you continue to the platform.

This change affects anyone who logs in to Mercury Network using a web browser, including lenders, AMCs, appraisers, and those who access the VMP Client portal.

What should I do to avoid disruptions?

We've created this document to help you make sure your browser accommodates the new requirement. On that page, you can use the Browser Check tab to test your browser's capabilities. If you find that your browser doesn't support TLS 1.2, the page also offers possible remedies. To avoid interruptions to your valuation workflow, please take the time to ensure you're ready before December 8.

Thank you!

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain the highest security for the platform. And, as always, thank you for your ongoing business.
