This update streamlines XSite tasks, adds new columns and prepares for security enhancements

This release gives VMP XSite users more control over their client’s order within Mercury Network and adds more available columns in the Orders view. We also fixed a few issues you helped us identify, and prepared for upcoming security enhancements for the VMP XSite client portal. The full details are in the release notes, with highlights below.

More XSite control in the Mercury Network order

VMP XSite users can now edit the XSite order fee from the Mercury Network order by updating the Client fee. This saves the time required to open the XSite order separately to change the fee.

To make this possible, the Mercury Network order shows a link in the Client fee field which opens a new window. There, enter the new fee along with comments, and when you click Set Fee, the XSite order fee will be changed and the audit trail will be updated just as if you had changed the fee on the XSite order.

Similarly, you can use the new link in the Vendor’s fee to update that information in the order (another option is to click Set status and choose Change fee). When you update the vendor’s fee this way, you’ll have the option to Update the fee on the VMP XSite and notify the client. When that option is checked, the new vendor’s fee will be used to update the XSite order fee. If you don’t use this option but decide later to update the XSite order fee, you can use the new link in the Client fee field. Either way, the audit trail will be updated to log this change.

New columns available in the Orders view

The My Columns feature lets you tailor your Orders view for your workflow and makes it easy to export customized reports based on your criteria. So, we’ve added more available columns to expand the possibilities of this feature.

VMP XSite users can now enable the Client fee and Vendor fee columns, which will display the amounts for each of those fees. VMP XSite users and their clients can enable the new Payments Received column, which shows the date/time stamp when payment for the order was received.

New option for managing VMP XSite client passwords

For your VMP XSite clients, you control whether or not they can change their own password used to access your portal. This control is particularly useful if they use their loan origination software (LOS) or an integrated system to place and manage orders. Now, for users without permission to change their own password, you can change it for them.

To change a password, there’s a new Edit login link that appears in the client’s profile if you’ve unchecked Permitted to change username and password. When you change a password this way, you must manually send the new password to the user because, for security, the system won’t send the password via email.

This new feature supports future enhancements to security for the VMP XSite client portal including strong password requirements and a secure “forgot password” process. Expect more information about those upgrades very soon.
